Synthesis of iridium-based nanocomposite with catalase activity for cancer phototherapy

Abstract The combination of photothermal therapy (PTT) and photodynamic (PDT) has attracted attention due to its enhanced tumor effect. This study proposes a novel nanoenzyme-based theranostic nanoplatform, IrO 2 @MSN@PDA-BSA(Ce6), for the combined PTT PDT tumors. was prepared by simple hydrolysis method coated with thin layer mesoporous silica (MSN) facilitate physical adsorption Chlorin e6 (Ce6). PDA coating NPs nanoplatform demonstrated an improved conversion efficiency 29.8% under NIR irradiation. Further, Ce6 loading imparts materials ability produce reactive oxygen species (ROS) 660 nm laser It also proved that could catalyze hydrogen peroxide (H O ) in microenvironment (TME) generate endogenous (O ), thereby enhancing PDT. vitro vivo experiments indicated nanocomposite highly biocompatible satisfactory therapeutic Thus, findings present demonstrate viability using nanoenzymes translational medicine.
